Early Childhood Care & Education: Professional Development

GAYC is a non-profit organization, incorporated in the state of Georgia that supports the education and development of Georgia’s young children ages birth-8 years old.

One the most well know, NAEYC The Association administers a voluntary, national accreditation system for high-quality early childhood programs, sponsors a variety of initiatives to improve professional preparation of early childhood educators, and produces a wide array of early childhood resources.

NAFCC represents professional providers throughout the United States and in some cases on US Military bases located internationally.

The GAE has a rich history which includes the merger of 2 unique teacher associations. Their merger provided for the support, protection and unified strengthen power to teachers of all races all over the state of Georgia.

Free, Free, Free...Early Childhood Investigations is a free ongoing professional development series that is delivered online and produced by Engagement Strategies, LLC.

Sheltering Arms Georgia Training Institute serves early care and education and family development professionals with research-based training.  An on-site, accredited early childhood education center serves as a hands-on laboratory that models best practices in child development and family support.GTI training includes the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), the Strength-based Family Worker (SFW) Credential, the Child Care Health Consultant certificate, implementation training for the Center for the Study of Social Policy\'s Strengthening Families approach, and many other professional development resource
